JANUARY 2008 NEWS
We are preparing to start recording the keeper rhythm-guitar tracks for the new album. The new tunes are heavy,riff-oriented,melodic and technical with great attention to detail and artful "songcrafting." If you liked Regeneration,you will NOT be dissapointed with TimeLord II. (*You may scratch your head a few times when listening to the disc,but you will NOT be dissapointed!) TimeLord II is on schedule for a tentative October/November 2008 release. We are still deciding on the bonus track(s)...
DECEMBER 2007 NEWS
The first "TimeLord/Ibanez Metal Guitar Bootcamp" went very well. Thanks to everyone that came out! Stay tuned for more Ibanez clinics with Aaron Richert and Matt Aub in Northern Virginia. TIMELORD II
We are in the process of composing material for the next album. Three songs are 100% complete music and arrangement wise...three others are in various stages of completion. Once again, there will be a very strict level of quality-control implemented. The second album will be a MASSIVE effort to compose and record. The music will be heavy-as-hell,super-melodic,ultra-technical and multi-faceted in terms of songwriting and composition. The four-song Dawn of Dissent concept that was started on Regeneration will be continued on TimeLord II. In addition- the chaotic storyline will be clarified in the liner notes. The album demos will be delivered to Shrapnel Records in February 2008. Album production will commence in early 2008 and continue throughout the Spring and Summer. An October/November 2008 release date is tentatively scheduled for TimeLord II. For now- please enjoy TimeLord's Regeneration!

12.20.07 NOTE: Matt's old technical thrash-metal band Malintent may release a new record in 2008! The band,which was active from 1993-2001,released an EP and two full-length albums. Malintent mastermind Jamie Vandelly has been on an extended hiatus from the trendy US metal scene. He has recently expressed an interest in recording a third Malintent album...more info coming soon.

TimeLord's Guitar Bootcamp 1 TimeLord's "Bootcamp" series of print guitar lessons will be comprised of a series of condensed no-nonsense manuals (15-20 pages each) that focus on important aspects related to music and guitar playing. Excerpts from several TimeLord compositions will be used as examples. The manuals will cost around $5.00 for each title in the series.
